AccessAble and Cadogan launch new Access Guides for Chelsea

Cadogan has partnered with AccessAble, the UK’s leading provider of disabled access information, to create Detailed Access Guides for primary destinations in Chelsea – enabling everyone with the tools and information they need to get around the central London destination.

The new Access Guides span over four kilometres of commercial areas under Cadogan’s stewardship in Chelsea, covering internationally renowned destinations the King’s Road, Duke of York Square and Sloane Street. An Access Guide to Cadogan Hall, one of London’s leading concert venues, has also been developed.

The Guides provide insightful facts, figures, and photographs to help people plan their journeys by detailing everything from pedestrian crossings to walking distances and accessible toilets.

AccessAble conducts in-depth research with trained surveyors to showcase clear, precise and unique information for residents and potential visitors.  All accessibility needs are different, therefore, detailed and accurate information is essential.

This partnership for Cadogan is a natural extension of its commitment to ensuring spaces across the Estate are as welcoming as possible. Improving access is an integral component of Chelsea 2030, Cadogan’s ten-year plan towards significantly reducing its environmental impact and supporting a thriving and inclusive community.

Kate Neale, Head of Sustainability, Cadogan, said: “The ability to seamlessly move around an area should be accessible to all. These Guides will empower residents and visitors with the accurate information they need to have a stress-free and enjoyable experience around the spaces and venues that make Chelsea such a special neighbourhood.”

Anna Nelson, Chief Executive of AccessAble, said: “We are thrilled to form a partnership with Cadogan, whose stewardship impacts millions of residents and visitors every month. We know that some of London’s most exciting and beautiful neighbourhoods can be daunting for people with accessibility issues. These detailed Guides will further allow people of all backgrounds to enjoy Chelsea.”
